Whales are larger than elephants.

Heres my five-minute update of the last seven days:

Baby Catnip has had a delightful week. Her grandmother and aunt came to town to help us celebrate her baptism. She was baptized on the Easter Vigil, which was lovely. The only problem was that the ceremony started at 8:30pm and was almost two and a half hours long! Yikes! Her bedtime is about 9pm most nights, so we werent too happy about the timing.

Baby Catnip fussed for most of the service the only time she stayed still and quiet was when the actual baptism took place! Thats right my little genius somehow knew she was supposed to stay quiet, and she did which was nice. Of course, right after they were done dunking her, she went back to fuss-fuss-fuss mode!

There were two other babies being baptized that night and I confess I was jealous they both slept through the whole service! Aaah, such is life with a spirited child.

The in-laws were here for three nights. It wouldve felt longer than it was, but my sister-in-law is a delightful woman and we really enjoyed spending time with her. She held Baby Catnip almost nonstop, which gave ME a lot of chances to relax. It was great for two reasons first, I got to relax! And second, I think its really healthy for Baby Catnip to get affection and attention from people other than ME!

I was actually sad to see the family leave and you know me I am not really crazy about having house guests. But boy, it was nice having extra hands around to hold the baby.

I sometimes do miss that village our ancestors were raised in because I could use some other villager moms to help me raise this little dickens.

Blue has been out of town since yesterday he comes back tonight at some godawful hour (1 or 2am).

I have my nanny in today (thus the time to actually WRITE this silly entry). Im going to wrap this entry up, feed the baby, hand her over to the nanny, and GO GET A MASSAGE! Woooooo-hooooo!

Yeah, Im a little paranoid about leaving the baby, even though this nanny is wonderful. I do get a little freaked out about having a stranger in the house not to mention taking care of the baby. But shes great, and I need to get over it, so I booked a massage and I am OUT of here.

I see the second opinion specialist in a week and a half at that point well know whether were doing one surgery or two. Funny how perspective changes and I am now HOPING for two surgeries ha!

Thats about it for now
